Stellar quartz is low maintenance. If you follow the simple do’s and don’ts in taking care of your quartz surface, it will last you a lifetime.
To clean on a daily basis, just use a soft cloth with warm water. A mild soap can be used. After cleaning, dry with soft cloth.
To remove any food or other substances that are stuck on the surface, use non-abrasive, household cleaners, like Simple Green, Soft Scrub liquid gel or Mr. Clean. Put the soap on a damp cloth (not directly on the surface), wipe the surface and rinse thoroughly after cleaning. Do not use any abrasive cleaning agents such as bleach, Ajax, Comet, oven cleaners, paint removers or harsh scrub pads.
Do not expose your Stellar quartz surface to any products that contain Methylene Chloride, Hydrofluoric acid, pumice or products with very high or very low PH. They may result in etching and/or discoloration. Do not apply any sealers, penetrants or topical treatments to Stellar quartz surface.
Stellar quartz surface is very hard but not scratch proof so avoid using sharp objects such as sharp knives or screwdrivers directly on the surface. The use of a cutting board is highly recommended
While Stellar quartz surface is heat resistant, it is not heat proof and could crack due to thermal expansion. This can occur if the surface is exposed to sudden change of temperature or sustained heating. You must use trivets or hot pads on the quartz surface before putting any hot device (including but not limited to hot pots and pans, crock pots, toasters, electric skillets etc.).
